Perhaps it’s our cloudless skies or mild temperatures or well-drained soils. It could be Dashwood’s long growing season or sustainably-farmed vineyards. Whatever the reason, the result is wines that are marked by piercingly vibrant fruit flavors and lively acidity. Dashwood has been tending vineyards and making wine in Marlborough for over twenty years, striving to minimize or eliminate any activities that are wasteful or harmful to the environment so future generations can continue to enjoy the extraordinary landscape.

With every step of the winemaking process our goal is to preserve the incredible aromatics and scintillating structure of our wines. After harvesting, we keep the fruit as cool as possible to retain bright, fresh Marlborough fruit flavors. Gentle crushing and cold fermentation help to preserve the personality of the variety and the influence of the site. We use traditional hand-plunging techniques during fermentation to extract optimum color and soft tannins.
Our Pinot Noir is aged in new and used French oak barriques to add complexity and tannins.
Our Pinot Noir is bold, fresh, direct, elegant and balanced. The wine delivers dark cherry, plum and blackberry fruit notes and soft, well-integrated tannins.
